& Heart Institute is a 341-bed
acute care hospital offering the broadest
range of services on the Treasure
Coast. Specialty services include
a full range of cardiac care from
diagnostics to open-heart surgery,
a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care
Unit, an inpatient mental health unit,
an inpatient rehabilitation center,
and a robotics program that provides
for minimally invasive prostate cancer
surgery.
In 2006 Lawnwood invested over $12
million in the tripling of space dedicated
to Emergency Services.
Other services include pediatrics,
a dedicated women’s and children’s
services floor, orthopedics, oncology,
nuclear medicine, imaging services,
and a full range of inpatient and
outpatient general surgery services.
Lawnwood has earned the Distinguished
Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence
from HealthGrades, Inc., five consecutive
years and was named by HealthGrades
as “One of America’s 50
Best Hospitals” in 2007. The
hospital has also received 5-star
ratings for cardiac, stroke, pulmonary,
womens’ services and critical
care services.
