Pristine sandy beaches, over 20 miles of emerald green intracoastal waterway, federal and state natural preserves, public parks, natural reefs, an average temperature of 78 o F and over 300 days of sunshine entice residents outdoors. Boating, golfing, equestrian, hiking and athletic activities abound.

The exceptional climatic conditions don't infringe on the communities' other priorities. Educational attainment is a clear objective for pre-kindergartners through post secondary institutions. The local and regional economies are rapidly transitioning to knowledge-based economies in which intellectual effort is encouraged and rewarded.

St. Lucie County also boasts multi-generational neighborhoods with varied cultural backgrounds. The attitudes of local residents are characteristically influenced by historical precedents yet with a caring attention to the success of future generations. New residents become old friends quickly in St. Lucie County.
