I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the official website of the Economic Development Council of St Lucie County (EDC). Over the past few years our county has seen tremendous growth and changes highlighted by the addition of Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies, The Vaccine and Gene Therapy Institute-Florida (VGTI-FL), The Mann Research Center, and Digital Domain Florida. These companies have generated economic growth by their presence as we continue to hear from other new businesses interested in relocating to our area. The Treasure Coast Research Park in North County is paving the way for additional growth and there is great interest in new "green" initiatives and industry capitalizing on nationwide movements promoting energy and fuel efficiency, energy conservation and renewable energy alternatives.

Our website is intended to promote these initiatives to prospective businesses, site selectors, expanding business, the media, and for our members. We will continue to update this site with detailed database information combined with up close and personal information of new and existing businesses. We will also provide news updates to any local initiatives that help highlight our wonderful community to economic development.

Our County is richly endowed with a great working relationship between area business and civic leaders working together to promote all of the issues that help attract new companies to our area. There is significant synergy between our governmental agencies working in tandem with our area school administrations at all levels to help the family relocation process for new companies coming into our area. All of those parties work in conjunction with the business community to promote unity and cooperation with the sole purpose of creating a sustainable area economy with sound growth objectives that encourage entrepreneurial innovation and business opportunity while improving the quality of life in our communities.
